Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question? We’re here to help.
What are the benefits of sealing my pavers?
Properly sealed pavers will minimize maintenance and will help prevent oil, grease, food, drink, leaf and pet stains. (If pavers are sealed, stains are less likely to penetrate into the paver pores.) Sealing can also reduce wear and tear, slow fading, retard the growth of moss or mildew and inhibit weed infestation. Sealing will keep your pavers looking like new for a longer time.
Do I need to clean my pavers before they are sealed?
Because the protectors need to penetrate the pores of the concrete, the surface must be properly cleaned with specially formulated cleaners to remove ground in dirt and stains. Deep cleaning allows good penetration of the sealer for the best results. We'll help you out with that!
How long can I expect my sealed pavers to last?
Typically the sealer will last for a period of 3 to 4 years depending on the exposure and use, i.e., driveways and high traffic areas will last 2+ years.
How do I choose the best finish for me?
Your Certified Restoration Specialist will provide you with samples of the finishes. You can choose from a Natural Look, a Satin Look or an Enhanced Look. It is a personal preference; however, some finishes are not appropriate in certain areas. Your Certified Restoration Specialist will point you in the right direction!
Can you give me a “ball park price” before I set up an appointment for a site analysis?
In some cases, it is possible to get some information over the phone and offer you a rough estimate. However, each project is unique. The only way to provide you with an accurate price requires an onsite evaluation and consultation. This allows us to understand the scope of the project, identify the problem areas and design an effective solution.
Should I just replace my pavers?
Our restoration services cost far less than installing new pavers. As long as the pavers and the base material are structurally sound, they can be repaired, cleaned, and sealed to restore their original beauty. Should you consider replacement, be sure to include the cost of sealing the new pavers.
How do I know which service is right for me?
Our Premium Wash and Seal service is ideal for new or recently installed pavers where the joint sand is in good condition. The Pro Paver Restoration service is best for older, faded pavers with weeds, moss, uneven or sunken pavers, missing edging, and failing joint sand.
